Northland Community & Technical College is pleased to announce that adult learners who haven’t been enrolled in high school or college in at least seven years are eligible to apply for the ALLISS Opportunity for Adult Learners Grant.
The ALLISS Opportunity Grant is for adult learners who have been out of school for at least seven years. The grant provides payment of tuition for one course, up to 5 credits, plus the required textbooks for the course. The grant will apply toward a course that is accepted as an integral part of one of Northland Community & Technical College’s associate degree programs. This grant is made available by the ALLISS Educational Foundation.
Applications are accepted at the time of registration. If eligible, your tuition payment for one course (up to 5 credits) will be paid by the ALLISS Grant Foundation. You will be responsible to pay the per-credit fees. Special course fees and optional course-related expenses are not paid by the ALLISS Grant.
If your application is received and processed prior to the purchase of books, you will also receive a voucher for required textbooks for your course. Obtain your authorization voucher from the Tuition Office before going to the Bookstore.
You may not receive other financial aid for the same credits for which an ALLISS Grant is awarded.
You can find application materials for the ALLISS Grant at the financial aid office on either campus or online at http://www.northlandcollege.edu/financialaid/forms/.
