A Minnesota man coming in for questioning about a missing woman has shot himself in the police parking lot.
Eden Prairie police got a call Thursday morning after 24-year-old Mandy Marie Matula of Eden Prairie failed to show up for work.
Police believe Matula was at Miller Park in Eden Prairie around 1:30 a.m. Thursday with 24-year-old David Marshall Roe of Victoria. Roe agreed to speak with an investigator, but police say he shot himself in his vehicle in the police parking lot.
Roe was taken to HCMC. His condition was not immediately available.
Matula remains missing. Police are asking anyone who knows her whereabouts or saw Matula and Roe together in a 2013 black Ford Escape with Minnesota license plate 802-KNA to call Eden Prairie police at 952-949-6200.

A 39-year-old Williston woman is charged with neglecting her child after police say she left her cognitively impaired 10-year-old boy to guard a camper from intruders while she went to take a shower.
Williams County District Judge Joshua Rustad last week found enough probable cause to send Carrie Tyler to trial on the charge of child neglect or abuse. The charge stems from a Feb. 25 incident in which Tyler’s landlord called police and reported that the boy had been abandoned.
A police officer talked to the boy, whose clothes were soiled. The Williston Herald reports that the boy told investigators that he needed to guard the camper so that “drunks and druggies” wouldn’t break in (http://bit.ly/16dJUYj ).
