After a solid coalition of support at hearings in Northwest Minnesota, the proposed route for the replacement of Enbridge Line #3 also got a warm reception yesterday at similar hearings on the Minnesota Iron Range.

During Public Utility Commission Hearings in Grand Rapids the oil company found strong support for their plan to re-route the pipeline well south of existing line, on current utility right of way across the length of Minnesota to the Enbridge Refinery in Superior, Wisconsin.

The project has cleared the state draft Environmental Impact Statement and comment period, with more testimony before an Administrative Law Judge in November before the State PUC makes a decision on the Final Route Permit and Environmental Impact Statement.
