(Montreal, Quebec) – Jason Zucker reeled off a hat trick in the third period as the Wild blanked the Habs, 3-0, in Montreal. Zucker broke a scoreless tie 2:46 into the final period, and tacked on two more goals down the stretch for Minnesota. The Wild wrap up their four-game road trip tomorrow in Philadelphia.
(Phoenix, AZ) – The Timberwolves resume their three-game west coast road trip tomorrow night in Phoenix against the Suns. Minnesota opened the trek with a 125-101 loss to the Warriors in Oakland on Wednesday. The Wolves fell to 7-and-4 on the year.
(Landover, MD) – The Vikings come out of their bye week to take on the Washington Redskins on Sunday in Landover, Maryland. Minnesota won four straight to enter the break atop the NFC North at 6-and-2. The Vikes sit two games ahead of Detroit and Green Bay in the division. The Redskins are also 4-and-4.
(Minneapolis, MN) – The Golden Gophers clash with the Nebraska Cornhuskers tomorrow at TCF Bank Stadium. Minnesota fell to 4-and-5 including 1-and-5 in Big Ten play with a 33-10 setback at Michigan last weekend. The Cornhuskers are 4-and-5 and 3-and-3.
(Minneapolis, MN) – The 15th-ranked Golden Gophers men’s basketball team begins the season tonight hosting South Carolina Upstate at Williams Arena. Minnesota looks to build off its 24-win season from last year.
