(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Timberwolves continue their three-game homestand tonight against the Houston Rockets at Target Center.  The Lakers will then come to town on Thursday in the final game before the All-Star break.  The Wolves snapped a two-game skid with Sunday’s 111-106 win over Sacramento.  They sit fourth in the West at 35-and-24.  The Rockets are 42-and-13.

(St. Paul, MN)  –  The Wild resume their five-game homestand tonight against the New York Rangers at The X.  Minnesota is 1-0-and-1 so far after Saturday’s 3-0 shutout of Chicago.  The Wild currently hold the second wild card spot in the West with 66 points, one ahead of the Kings and Ducks.  The Rangers are a point out of the final wild card in the East.

(Fort Myers, FL)  –  Twins’ pitchers and catchers report for spring training today in Fort Myers.  The first workout is tomorrow.  Position players report Sunday, with the first full-squad workout next Monday.  The Twins play the University of Minnesota February 22nd before opening Grapefruit League play the next day against the Red Sox.

(Houston, TX)  –  The Astros may be looking to trade Collin McHugh.  Multiple reports say McHugh is being targeted by the Twins and Baltimore Orioles.  The right-hander went 5-and-2 in the regular season last year, while also going 1-and-1 in the playoffs.  He could be expendable for Houston as the world champs traded for Gerrit Cole in January.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Golden Gophers are back in action tonight hosting top-ranked Michigan State at Williams Arena.  Minnesota has lost seven-straight to drop to 14-and-13 overall and 3-and-11 in Big Ten play.  The Spartans are 24-and-3 and 12-and-2.
