A Level 3 sex offender will move to Thief River Falls on or after Sunday, Aug. 6.
Jeremy Charles Wind, 34, will move to a home in the vicinity of Maple Avenue North and First Street East, according to information provided by Deputy Police Chief Craig Mattson.
The Minnesota Department of Corrections doesn’t provide a specific address in cities the size of Thief River Falls.
Level 3 sex offenders are classified as those sex offenders who are most likely to reoffend.
Wind has a history of sexual contact with women. Contact included sexual touching and penetration. Force was used in at least one offense. Wind gained access to one victim by breaking into her home and taking advantage of her sleeping state. He gained access to another victim by approaching her in public. Wind was known to one victim and unknown to two victims.
The public is reminded that Wind has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. Wind is described as an American Indian male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 144 pounds. Wind has a small build and medium complexion
