Littering

On Feb. 2 at 5:07 p.m., police received a report of littering in the Walmart parking lot. A 15year-old Thief River Falls male has charges pending for littering. According to the report, a Marshall County Central Schools staff member allegedly reported that she had encountered some students being disruptive in the store. She told them to quiet down. After walking out of the store, she noticed pop poured all over her vehicle and garbage sitting on top of it.

Trespassing

On Jan. 26 at 10:32 a.m., police received a report of trespassing at Northland Student Housing, 1003 Longren Ave. Kristopher James King, 20, Aurora, Ill., and Jonathan Michael Pickett, 21, Minneola, Fla., have been cited for trespassing.

Accident

On Jan. 27 at 6:59 p.m., police received a report of an accident in the Arby’s parking lot. At the time of the accident, James J. Gudajtes of Minto, N.D., was driving a 2010 Chevy Blazer. According to the report, he lost control of the vehicle. It then hit a dumpster and a parked 2002 Ford owned by Kenneth A. Bakke of Thief River Falls. No injuries were reported.

Littering

On Jan. 27 at 10:27 p.m., police allegedly observed a woman littering near the intersection of First Street and Horace Avenue. Sarah Lynn Roggatz, 27, Thief River Falls, has been cited for littering. She threw garbage out of her vehicle window.

Accident

On Jan. 28 at 5:06 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Third and Sixth streets. At the time of the accident, Vernon J. Meyer of Thief River Falls was driving a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country on Sixth Street. He attempted to turn onto Third Street. However, he didn’t see a 2010 Chevy Tahoe driven by James P. Cwikla of Thief River Falls. Cwikla was traveling westbound on Third Street and planned to turn onto Sixth Street. The vehicles collided. No injuries were reported.

Theft

On Jan. 29 at 3:32 p.m., police received a report of a theft outside of 904 Pleasant Ave. Someone had stolen a 37-inch Proscan TV, a PlayStation 3, prescription pills, a Dallas Cowboys jacket and numerous other items out of a vehicle at that location.

Speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

On Jan. 29 at 11:52 p.m., the sheriff’s office performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Center Street and 300th Avenue Northeast. Kerstyn Renee Lill, 21, Larimore, N.D., has been cited for speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warrant apprehension and possession of a small amount of marijuana

On Jan. 30 at 3:06 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Zeh Street and Knight Avenue. Nicholas James Sehlstrom, 24, Thief River Falls, has been cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on a Pennington County warrant.

Theft

On Jan. 30 at 12:23 p.m., police received a report of a theft at Arctic Cat. A Goodridge woman reported that she had set her iPad down on a table and someone stole it.

Theft

On Jan. 31 at 9:52 a.m., police received a report of a theft at Cenex Travel Plaza. Bruce Larry Carter II, 32, Thief River Falls, has been cited for theft. He allegedly charged merchandise to a business of which he isn’t an employee.

Theft

On Jan. 31 at 7:05 p.m., police received a report of a theft at Sanford Medical Center. Someone had stolen a black Michael Kors wallet belonging to a Fosston woman.

Accident

On Feb. 1 at 3:14 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Hughes Street. At the time of the accident, Josie L. Francis of Thief River Falls was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla southbound on Maple Avenue, and Alexander P. Grant of Thief River Falls was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Bug eastbound on Hughes Street. According to the report, the vehicles collided due to icy conditions. No injuries were reported.

Hit and run accident

On Feb. 3 at 1:44 a.m., police received a report of a hit and run accident in the 1000 block of LaBree Ave. N. Someone had struck a parked vehicle belonging to a Thief River Falls woman. The motorist then left the scene.

Driving while impaired and open bottle

On Feb. 4 at 1:12 a.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Sanford Parkway. Tyler Ora Mundell, 27, Grygla, has charges pending for DWI and open bottle. He was arrested.
